Calcified Fibroid Symptoms
cat scan results and need help.. please?
I got the results of a cat scan.. the ultrasound I had said i had a soft tissue calcification ( 2 years ago in the same spot an ultrasound at a different radiology dept said I had a calcified penduculated fibroid in th same spot) I had to go to a new radiology dept for insurance purposes and they say soft tissue calcification but get a cat scan..
I got the cat scan and it says it can either be a dermoid cyst, ovarian cyst or a fibroadenoma and now they are suggesting an MRI.
I am not having any problems with this.. I originally went to my primary dr for hip pain from exercise.. and he did a series of tests and he was doing a pelvic ultrasound and I asked him if he would do a transvaginal ultrasound and that is when all this came about...
So now I want to know if any of this is serious if I have no symptoms.
thank you to whoever can help me with this.
Cystadenofibroma of the ovary, a relatively rare benign tumor, usually appears during the fourth and fifth decades.
A dermoid cyst is quite a different type of cyst and more commonly occurs on the head, neck, ovaries. It is most common on the ovary and is usually benign.
You haven't given enough information. Neither type is commonly cancerous, you must ask your doctor or OB/GYN to explain this to you properly. We can only guess and could be very wrong.
A dermoid cyst is very different in construction from a fibroadenoma, you need someone to interpret the CAT scan to you properly.
And it's all a bit different from a calcified pedunculated fibroid. If a qualified doctor or radiologist has not explained everything to you how can we?
