Calcified Fibroid

What would happen if I tried to get pregnant at the time a doc recommended I get a hysterecomy?

I'm 28 y/o and I have been bleeding for seven to ten days every other week for the past three months. I had a fibroid that is now calcified so it's not the culprit. BC pills don't work for me...they also cause constant bleeding. I'm not anemic and I'm not pregnant and it's not polycystic ovarian syndrome. The doc thinks this is a hormonal problem. All of the older women in my family have had to have this procedure done at some point. I would be okay with getting it done but I'm very young and I'm not ready to have the option to have kids taken away from me (I do have one beautiful son who's turning four next week but I would like to have another baby one day). Do you think it would be okay for me to try to get pregnant now and have the procedure done after I have my child (if I am able to conceive)? I'm desperate at this point...I really hope someone has some good news for me. Thank you in advance.

If it's hormonal then it could be hard to conceive but then if you do the symptoms might go away but there's no telling what could happen after delivery or even through your pregnancy. It is not a bad idea if you don't have a structural problem with your uterus but, and this is important, you must discuss with your obgyn before you conceive. I wish you the best.
