Fibroid Blocking Birth Canal
Has anyone ever been in this situation?
I am 31 weeks pregnant, and I have to have a c section because of a fibroid about the size of a grape fruit blocking the birth canal. Also they have informed me that they will have to make the incision some where else because the fibroid is where they would normally cut. I am concerned because the fibroid is obviously attached to my uterus. I am afraid they will bump it bring the baby out and I could bleed out. Has anyone been in this situation and everything was okay?
im sure everything will be fine, and they will be able to successfully take out your baby and remove the fibroid. they will be ready for the worst case scenario when they do the c-section, so they will be able to deal with the fibroid if for some reason it does start to bleed. i think you should voice your concerns to your doctor so they can reassure you everything will be fine and talk you through what they are going to be doing.
