Fibroid Cysts In Breast
just got back from gyno...not sure what this means...?
So, I went to the gyno today, mainly to ask questions about getting of birth control in hopes of TTC in the near future. During the breast exam the dr. says I have fibroid cysts. I was so concentrated on the whole birth control issue that I forgot to ask about these cysts...so can anyone tell me more? I know this isn't really related to TTC, but I am only 25 and I don't want anything lumpy in my boobs!! Thanks for your input!
Well, I called the dr. after about an hour of worry. She said what she felt was normal...could be due to caffeine intake, pre-period symptoms, or stress. She also said it is important to know how they feel so I can tell the difference between what is normal and what is not. Thanks for your input.
This runs in my family. It means your breast are more dense and you might have some small lumps that are hard instead of being filled with water. You might want to call your doctor back and find out if you should have a mammogram before you get pregnant. My sister is only 26 and just had a lump removed. It was benign and nothing to worry about but if she was to let it sit there for 10 years it could possibly become a danger. It won't interfere with breastfeeding or TTC but just have your doctor give you a couple more details so you don't have any concerns. Good luck!
