Chance it's ectopic pregnancy?
I had a tubal almost 6 years ago. My last period started 1/4/09. I saw my GYN 1/23/09 and I told her the last 6 months I had some mid-cycle spotting, she gave me a quick ultrasound in the office said she saw something small but couldnt make out what it was (she said polyp or degenerating fibroid), from where she was pointing I couldnt tell if it was in or out of my uterus, she ordered hysterosonogram which I have yet to get - no appts avail. I am not super late (I usually get my period within 28-30 days, its been 33) but I am wondering if I should call the dr and tell her my concern (will i sound crazy?), go buy a preg test (its so unlikely, right?) or just calm down & wait. Would it have been too soon to tell if it was a pregnancy in the ultrasound? Could it have been?
If your doctor thought it was an ectopic pregnancy, he/she would probably have sent you for blood tests or ordered you to get a more in-depth u/s pronto. Ectopic pregnancies can be very serious, so if that's what he thought it was, I think he'd have been very clear about it.
