Fibroid Pain During Pregnancy

I am taking clomid, but still can't get pregnant!?

I am becoming more and more discouraged. About ten months ago I miscarried at 11 weeks. I was so upset; we had tried so long to concieve that baby. That was my second pregnancy; which, the first one survived. The doctor's did an autopsy on our second baby and also examined me and then came to the conclusion that it was a chromosome problem, that is why we lost the baby. However, we tried and tried to get pregnant after this loss and were not able. Now the doctors have put me on clomid because I have PCOS. This is my second round and I am still not pregnant! In addition to the cysts, I have a fibroid; but, they say it is so small and they are not concerned. But could this be the reason for my lost baby and also the reason I am unable to get pregnant? And how do I tell my doctor to do his job? I feel like they gave me the clomid just to cover up the real problem. Along with infertility, I have cramps so bad that it simulates the pains I felt during labor with my son.

Firstly, I am sorry for your loss, after multiple miscarriages myself, it's not easy to go through. I am surprised however that the doctor only put you on clomid especially after you have had a miscarriage, it seems wrong, with pcos you have a higher risk of miscarriage so he should of put you on metformin first, or at least as well as clomid, clomid will only aid ovulation, but will not lower your chance of a miscarriage, Metformin will do that, after 14 m/c's a new specialist I was seeing put me on metformin and clomid together and said I would be pregnant within 3 months, well I conceived our 1st try and now have a beautiful 5yr old daughter, had another miscarriage a year after her birth requiring d&c (found out too late and didn't take metformin in time to save that pg), then conceived again another year later and now have a almost 3 yr old daughter too, again thanks to metformin (2nd daughter's conception was a surprise as I wasn't on meds then nor ttc but metformin saved her pg as I started it as soon as I found out I was pg). If you can, ask your doc for metformin and if they won't give it to you change to someone else who will. I suffered 14 m/c's cause the so called experts before didn't tell me metformin could make the difference, in fact I was told I would never carry a pg to term to have a child. Metformin really was my savior and allowed me to finally become a mum, I believe it may help you too, Good Luck...
