Trouble with breathing at 31 weeks?
I realise that it's common for pregnant women to feel out of breath because bubs is pushing on the lungs... totally get that. The problem that I have is that bubs is actually stretching up and I'm having asthma-like pains in my lungs from it. Is it common to feel that sort of pain so early? Because my midwife said that he's rather big, and apparently he's sitting high up in my uterus because of a fibroid. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this because it hurts SO much, and as long as he's active, I have trouble breathing to the Point of I pretty much stop for as long as I can because it hurts so much! I'm just wondering really if it's the sort of thing where they'll actually either induce or caesar if he gets too much bigger because of the pressure? I have no idea! I realise that they probably wouldn't JUST yet because I've still got another 9 weeks to go, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had the same problem, and what was done about it. Cheers
I am 37 weeks along at the moment. and i was experiencing the same thing you are describing... except i call my child pooky lol (sorry couldn't help it) ... there were times when i thought it was going to be impossible for me to breathe. what i would do when this would happen is just what i would do for having problem with asthma. If sitting down i would stretch one or both arms over my head and cross them behind my head. I found this relieved some of the pressure and i could breath easier at least for a little while. I know this may not work for every one, but at least it is worth a try. Good luck!
