Fibroids In Breast
Pain in the left breast only? What could it be?
I am very well aware of my body. My breasts do not hurt during my cycle and I have never had these pains before. I know it is not cyclic b/c the pain is in my left breast only, not both. My left breast is VERY tender if I touch the bottom center/left. It also hurts to lay on my stomach at night to sleep. This has been going on for close to 2 weeks. I plan on going to the doctor once my insurance is active in January. I am looking for serious answers! This is kinda freaking me out! I have read about fibroids but there is nothing I can feel from the surface. I'm not worried about cancer, I just want to get some ideas about what might be going on! If anyone can help, please do!!
Hi! I would recommend you to visit a doctor as soon as possible. chest pain can be caused by a lot of problems.
May I know how old are you? When I was around 16 years old I remember having no PMS but when i reached 17 one of my breast would hurt so bad. It felt really tender and was too sensitive. This was more likely due to hormonal changes. Breast pain: Most commonly associated with fibrocystic changes, pain may occur in both breasts, though one may be more painful than the other. With fibrocystic changes, the pain occurs about a week before your menstrual period. The pain usually goes away gradually with the onset of your period.
Another cause would be muscle strain. Is it relieved by cold compress? I've experienced it due to wearing the wrong bra size.
Signs and symptoms of muscle strain includes:
* Swelling, bruising or redness, or open cuts as a consequence of the injury
* Pain at rest
* Pain when the specific muscle or the joint in relation to that muscle is used
* Weakness of the muscle or tendons (A sprain, in contrast, is an injury to a joint and its ligaments.)
* Inability to use the muscle at all
