What causes an enlarged uterus???
I don't have tumors, fibroids or any growths and I'm not pregnant. What would cause the uterus to be enlarged??
No, endo either. They would of saw that in the ultrasound.
Endometriosis cannot be detected on an ultrasound, except with rare exception in cases of larger implants and then only in patients who have been previously diagnosed. CT Scans, MRIs and any other diagnostic procedures are limited at best. The gold standard for a diagnosis of Endometriosis is via gynecologic surgery like the laparoscopy - without visualization and more importantly, biopsy confirmation, the diagnosis is merely suspected. It cannot be confirmed or ruled out through diagnostics like U/S, etc.
