Holistic Medicine Fibroids
I have fibroids and I am pregnant. They tell me these fibroids are growing and may affect the pregnancy?
Modern medicine has no answers besides Surgery and since I am pregnant even that is out of the question. Is there another approach out there? Something holistic?
I had a surgery 2.5 years ago that removed 6 fibroids from my outer uterus--it was a major surgery and I had an incision similar to a c-section. I got pregnant in December last year, and unfortunately, 3 more were discovered, this time inside the uterus at an ultrasound. Sadly, I miscarried in Feb. I was due to have a different type of surgery to remove these fibroids on June 2nd, and found out 4 days before that even though my husband and I had used protection, I was pregnant again. Of course I was terrified, but so far, this little boy is doing just great. I'm 23 weeks today and the doctors are really happy with the progress so far.
As far as holistic answers, there are plenty out there, and trust me, I researched them when I found out about this second pregnancy. I can honestly say that none are proven or tested long term to be safe for pregnant women, so I wasn't willing to take any chances with them. I wasn't willing to put my baby at any further risk than he was already.
How far along are you and do you know the size of the fibroids? What is the doctor's opinion and suggestions for your pregnancy?
EDIT--and no, they cannot do surgery or a "little stitch" during pregnancy or even right after giving birth. The uterus changes too much from hormones and pregnancy, and a woman would risk hemorrhaging if the fibroids were removed right around the time of pregnancy.
WHAT CAUSES FEMALE INFERTILITY
The joy of every couple is to have children running around in their homes.
The reality however is that it is not always so. For many women, it has become a struggle just to conceive talk less of having children.
Even for those that conceive, carrying the pregnancy to term without frequent miscarriages is a tall order in deed.
But what are the causes of infertility? What makes one woman to conceive so easily and another find it difficult to get pregnant?
There are many factors attributable to a woman's inability to conceive and bear children.
1. Damage to the Fallopian tube
2. Lifestyle factors like vaginal douching, smoking, caffeine drinking. 3. Ageing. As a woman gets older, her fertility reduces gradually and makes getting pregnant difficult.
4. Uterine Fibroids.
5. Early menopause
6. Pelvic Inflammatory disease
7. Anti sperm antibodies
8. Irregular menstruation
9. Insufficient Levels of sex Hormones
10. Under functioning of the ovary
All these are conditions that should be investigated as causative factors in a woman's inability to get pregnant. Underlying factors may also exist and they should be eliminated one after the other by the gynecologist.
Infertility should not however be the end o the road for all those women that think that time and age is no longer on their side.
There are new sciences that have been developed that have actually succeeded where western medicine has not.
Using Holistic methods, thousands of women from around the world have managed to get pregnant. Even those in their late 40's that medically was thought impossible. They have gone ahead to get pregnant and have their babies.
Opportunities therefore exists for women both young and not so young to explore this new non invasive method of getting pregnant. It not only works but it is far less expensive than western forms.
