Pelvic Ultrasound Fibroids
Opinions on first fertility appt at hospital...?

We have been TTC for a year now and went for first appt at the hospital yesterday (I am 33, DH is 37, SA and bloods came back fine).
The doc took notes on our history and then I had an internal scan and had to leave a urine sample.
When they were doing the internal scan, the nurse was pointing something out to the doc and they were talking really quietly. They think that there may be a fibroid and so I have to go back for a pelvic ultrasound in a few weeks (they have also booked me in for a HSG).
I am currently on 8 dpo and was wondering whether anyone else had been in this situation and
(i) is there any chance I am pregnant and that was what they could see?
(ii) could it be nothing? They said the next scan would confirm it so does this mean it could just have been an error?
(iii) has anyone successfully conceived with fibroids or do they need treatment? Is this why its taking so long to conceive?

I knew someone that had a fibroid while she was pregnant. She had to have scans to make sure that the fibroid was moving up out of the way while the baby was growing. This can also happen with a low lying placenta and extra scans are requested.
Your fibroid has been detected so with the medical help I'm sure you will conceive soon and pregnancy will be ok with the fibroid too.
