Recovery Fibroid Surgery

I am on my second period after an abdominal myomectomy. when will they get better?
I had a myomectomy in september and a large fibroid, aprox 20cmx14x11 was removed. My recovery has been fine and I started my first period in November which was hell on earth. I am currently on my second period, it was very painful with cramps lasting 4 days and usually it is ok after one day. Added to that they are still prolonged, last one was around 14 days, this one I am still on after 12 days. Prior to my surgery however they blended into one. My stomach still feels a little heavy but I am not sure if thats just being a little curvy ![]()
I am a little worried however, has anyone had the same problem? will it get better?
I can't say regarding the myomectomy, but following my C-sections the periods were horrible for three cycles. I just don't think our uteruses like it very much when we cut them open and mess around in there 8/
After 3 cycles things settled down to normal.
