Severe Fibroid Pain
I have asthma, can I take Oxycodone?
I have severe cramps due to a fibroid that I am having removed in 2 weeks. I take Naproxen, but I feel like it doesn;t really work. I have taken vicodin for my cramps, and it works ok, but it mainly just makes me feel high, so it is more "enjoyable" than regular pain reliever.
My mother gave me an oxycodone pill, and I haven;t taken it because I am paranoid that I won;t be able to breath. I have asthma, but it is under control through Advair. I have taken vicodin with no breathing problems ( I don;t take very much), and I am just wondering in Oxycodine will have worse side effects... breathing wise.... than vicodin?
You need to call your local pharmacy and ask them about the drug interactions between Advair and Oxycodine. Since you have taken vicodin before with no problem, you should be able to use the oxycodine, but a pharmacy call is your safest bet. It may depend on the milligram strength and you are wise to have questions about taking ANY medications that might affect your asthma.
