Thyroid Fibroids
Is estrogen usually measured on routine blood tests? If so, what is the "code" to look for?
I am 34 years old and experience red-face hot flashes, rapid weight gain and heavy periods. I have small fibroids that I am getting treated but I am wondering about hormones and the possibility of an imbalance there.
ALSO - I had a routine blood panel 6 months ago and am wondering if hormones beside those associated with the thyroid are usually measured on these things. Does anyone know the "code" I can look for if it is?

Hormones are not checked when a regular blood test is done. To check level of hormones you need to do a special blood test. You can read here how to understand blood tests:
